CAlligraphy FAQ
Q: What is the process for booking calligraphy services?
A: After you contact me and send details about your project, I will give you a price quote. 50% of the quoted price is required to book your project. The remaining 50% will be due upon completion of your project. Please note that there is a $100 job minimum and $25 setup fee per job.
Q: Do you provide paper and other materials?
A: For custom art and letter scribing, I will provide the paper. For envelopes and place cards, the client is responsible for providing whatever surface you would like me to write on (paper, agate slices, wood, etc.) However, I do provide whatever ink is needed for the writing. Q: Do you offer custom signs or seating charts?
A: Unfortunately due to limited studio space, I am no longer able to accommodate making custom signage or seating charts.
Q: How early should calligraphy be booked?
A: The earlier the better! Availability is limited so please contact me early to book time in my schedule. Wedding etiquette recommends Save the Dates be mailed out 5-10 months before the wedding date, and invitations be mailed 6-8 weeks prior to the event. Turn around time for addressing is about 75 envelopes per week, plus time for shipping. Please include time for discussions about any specific vision you may have for color or style. I am happy to help you make your vision into a reality!
Q: Where are you located?
A: I am located in beautiful San Francisco Bay Area in the heart of Silicon Valley, at the cross section of the Peninsula and South Bay. I am happy to be a beacon of paper and pen to my tech savvy corner of the world.
Q: Do you design wedding invitations?
A: I currently do not design invitations.
Q: What about shipping costs?
A: All shipping costs are the responsibility of the client and will be included in the final invoice. The final invoice must be paid prior to your completed project being shipped.
